Shabori and Indigo Dyeing with Andra Kay

Blue is the word. The process of indigo dyeing is magical.

We will learn about the ancient art of Shibori - clamping, tying, and folding fabric to create a resist before it is dipped in the natural indigo dye. We will dye both cotton and silk. Students may bring an extra 100% cotton t-shirt or piece of fabric to dye along with the material provided in class. (pre wash to remove sizing).

4 hour class.
